Since New Years Eve, I have been off the wagon BIG TIME. So I get on the scale this morning (after encouraging another blogger I'd feel hypocritical if I didn't follow my preaching) and low and behold... i have not gained weight!!??? (check out my daily weigh in on the side bar)
So off to the grocery store to stock up on good foods. I think I'm going to do a version of core/clean eating. I've tried several times to start doing points, but just wasn't working for me yet. I also watched Dr. Oz's "diet" yesterday and quite liked his recommendations a quick synopsis of what they were:
Top 5 foods NOT to eat:
1) simple sugar
2) syrups
3) white flours
4) trans fats
5) saturated fats
also,
measure your waist (should not be more than 1/2 your height) eat off a 9" dinner plate, automate your meals, 10'000 steps a day... etc.

He He He...
Sooooo 251 didn't last long. The next day it was back up to 254 something and then New Years Eve happened, I put on a spread for a few friends... and there were left overs.. and well.. I'm sitting around 256 right now. WHOOOPS. Funny the past 3 New Years i've been 250 (well this year i'm 5lbs over. But in between those times I've been any where from 218 to 268... funny how that works, by New Years I manage to get back (up or down) to 250...
Happy New Year all!!! Will this be the year? I bet you and me hope so... It's in our hands, and we can make a significant change in one year... can we do it? YES Will we do it? yes.. (hopefully).

Hmmm
Not sure how it happened but apparently I lost 3lbs yesterday, lol. We all know that doesn't happen but maybe with drinking enough water, the exercise I got in and eating very "good" translated in to my body shifting. Anyway I'll take it, but with a grain of salt, we'll see what she feels like telling me tomorrow!
So yesterday I did 3 10min shifts on my bike, it actually worked out really well/easy! I found it much easier doing 10min shifts rather than doing a full 30min. From what I've read, it doesn't matter if you do the exercise at the same time or not.. so for now that what works for me!
I've also started tracking WW points again.. more to make sure I'm eating enough calories/points as I tend to not eat enough when I start "eating right".

Happy to Report
That it's 3 days after Christmas and I am 'holding' quite well. I defiantly ate, but only did one big meal a day.. and no seconds. I really didn't have a big hanker'n for sweets, but had a few. I also bought an at home exercise bike (just a basic model) I'm hoping to ride while the kid's watch cartoons (and lessen my time on the Internet ha ha) I did 5min last and I find it really hurts my "bum bones" but I think if I start out slow I can build up a tolerance for it!!

Holding with a Minor downshift
So just in hold mode over the holidays, though I am mindful of what I am eating, but am defiantly have treats. I've lost about 2lbs over the past couple weeks so that is nice also! Just watched the Biggest Loser finale last night and it is always so inspiring. If someone out there can do it, then why can't I? I know it won't happen the speed it does on the show, but It CAN happen.

Finished my cleanse yesterday. Feel pretty good, i've noticed a difference in how my clothes fit, even loosing just 10lbs, so that's nice! I had a craft fair this weekend, and my booth was right across from the HOMEMADE FUDGE BOOTH, I was strong till sat. afternoon :). I've decied to continue to really watch my starchy carbs, sugar, thought I know I can never live with out sugar (chocolate) I will do my best to be more awear of my intake. I think i'm going to start WW points program tomorrow. It's always worked the best for me.
